Petropolis UK Premiere
To launch Petropolis theatrically in the UK, The Co-operative and Dogwoof held a special screening and QnA at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London (ICA). Panellists were Petropolis exec producer and Greenpeace Canada Spencer Tripp; Charlie Kronick from Greenpeace UK; Oli Harbottle of Dogwoof and chairing was Chris Shearlock Head of Sustainability from The Co-operative.
It was a full house and mixed crowd made up of the The Co-operative and the ICA's membership, environmental groups and also, because of the visual nature of the film included a good filmmakers, students and industry folk.
The post screening QnA was a lively affair, Chris immediately threw it open to the audience and there was no shortage of questions and comments. First questions were directed at Spencer and how the film was commissioned and made but soon it naturally progressed on to the issue of oil dependency and the BP leak in the gulf.
There was plenty of debate but the full house all agreed with the one audience member who stood up and encouraged us to spread the word and see the film!
Thanks to all who attended and got involved and thanks to Greenpeace Canada for making such an incredible documentary.

Queuing for the film...

Oli Harbottle and "Age of Stupid's" Franny Armstrong; a rapt audience.
